    World Tour: Lutterworth, England

    Sept 7th, 2019

Woke up early this morning for some reason. Found a cool coffee shop and grabbed some breakfast in a cool neighbourhood. London is quiet in the morning. Then back in the van.

Lutterworth is beautiful. A perfect English countryside. Green rolling hills, old fences, churches ... The Long Road Festival perfectly matched it surroundings too.

Caught up with a heap of radio & press before I checked out Eric Paslay’s set. Love that guy. Was great to run into Jillian Jacqueline, Kip, Lanco and their crews. Great humans.

We went on stage at 5:30pm, round sunset, to easily the biggest crowd I’ve played to on this side of the world. I LOVED IT!!! It almost felt like a headline set in the way they knew every word.

First time playing the song “Things That We Drink To” at a festival today. It was so special to see so many people raising their glasses to that one. I think we’ve finally found an arrangement that communicates the emotion of that one in the right way.

An epic end to the U.K run. Very grateful tonight.
