    World Tour: Glasgow Scotland

    September 4th, 2019

Well, that was a day. Jet lag crushed us. 2hrs sleep max. 6am airport run and 2hrs of mess at baggage check with Keith having to take apart a bunch of our gear for it to make weight for this particular flight.

Flight delayed. Arriving in Glasgow an hr late to find that all of our gear had been left in Dublin.

We had an issue with our visa leaving the airport so we had to visit an immigration office a few miles away for it to be activated properly.

Between 3-4 we tried the airline but their phones and computers were down. I still had my guitar because I never let go of that thing.

We debated hitting a music store and buying some kind of loop pedal that I could get by with, but i couldn’t bring myself to commit to doing a half baked show. I made the decision to go ahead and do the show solo.

The venue was gorgeous, “Oran Mor”. An old church turned music venue.

I walked on stage. Sat on a stool and played the album “Things That We Drink To” top to bottom. Track 1 through track 11.

I realized I’d never done that before. I played Song For The Summer and Me On You live for the first time ever TONIGHT!

And Glasgow sang every, damn, word.

Finished with Young Again and brought Keith, my tech, on stage to trade guitar solos. It was super fun.

As Keith ripped into a solo on the last song, my tour manager, Norwood, got a call from the airline. Our bags arrived. We’re good to go for the rest of the shows.

We made some magic out of a mess tonight Glasgow. Thank you. I’ll always come back here.
