    World Tour: Dublin, Ireland

    September 2nd & 3rd, 2019

    September 2nd, 2019

Visited the Guinness Brewery. Drank Guinness and wandered around the city til midnight. It was quiet, it was a Monday night, but we still checked out a few pubs. This city has a vibe. It’s old and gritty. I love it.

    September 3rd, 2019

Woke up early. Walked over to St Patrick’s Cathedral & checked out Dublin Castle before I found some coffee and worked on the setlist for the show.

Met up with the crew for some great Asian food for lunch before soundcheck at “The Academy”. We were in the basement, “The Greenroom”.

I ate a pack of Doritos for dinner before the show.

It’s hard to describe the show tonight, but to say it was joyful. I can’t remember a show where the crowd smiled so widely. It was warm, and welcoming, and inclusive feeling. I met a bunch of people after the show. Many of them had travelled a long way to be there. It was the first night of the tour, it was my first time playing Dublin and I’ll remember it forever. I’m so grateful!

After the show we went for a night cap at the rock/dive bar “Fibbers”. It’s a badass joint and it was just around the corner from our hotel. We’ll be back there ...

Dublin, I love ya! Until next time
